Art: Max Volume

Hey.

So, while playing a game of BattleToads (the arcade version, mind you) followed by Banjo Tooie, then listening to Guns N' Roses afterwards, I somehow managed to create this character.

Meet Max Powers, famous rock star, hardcore bar fighter, and son of famous yet loony scientist Dr. Vince Powers. One day, while rocking out with his guitar in his room, Max hears a scream of terror from his girlfriend Jessie, only to discover that she was kidnapped by some goth punk named Jasper “Obscured” Cramer. After beating up some of his lackeys, a witch (who teams up with Jasper) kicks Max’s ass, kidnaps his dad, takes some of his equipment, and escapes through a portal to another world with Jessie and Dr. Powers. NOT cool, man!!!!

After waking up from his coma, Max is willing to rescue his dad and his girlfriend. But how? He can’t make a portal like the witch did. Just then, he picks up a note from his father, telling him to go to the basement. There, he meets a deactivated robot named VOLUME (Versatile Operational Lifeform Used for Masterful Exploration.) Together, the pair activate Dr. Powers’ experimental portal device and travel to the same world Max’s girl and dad are held captive. With the help of a magical (yet totally hot) fairy named Sarah, Can they rescue them? Well duh, dude. It’s time… let’s crank this party to MAX VOLUME!!!!!

Props to you if you have discovered the grammatical pun. ;)

Adam

Art: AxelGrease (The Negative Armor)

Hey.

Lately I've been thinking if Trey should come across something that slowly turns him from a good guy to a bad guy. That is what the Negative Armor does. It is a rumored armour that is said to have been designed to feed off the emotions of its user and slowly turn it into a bitter, cold war machine. It was said to have been the original design of Void’s ancestors, but was erased from their history by a Dhurian warrior. Nevertheless, it is a dark, powerful weapon. Instead of wrist mounted plasma repeaters, the Negative armour’s main weapon is a negatively charged dark matter energy attack that can be conjured out of the air from the hands. Aside from the negative projectile weapons, the user is also able to manipulate its surroundings with a zero gravity field manipulator (a gravity arm cannon.) As an extra feature, the gravity cannon can also influence a living target to serve under its command for a brief period of time.

Far as I know, it's the yang to Trey's ying. :) This is all for today.

Adam.

Art: AxelGrease Mk.II (With synopsis of AXELGREASE)

Hey.

After eight weeks of hard work, I've created another piece of art. AXELGREASE Mark two; an upgraded version of the first one. I'm really proud of this one, considering it took me a long time to make it. :)

Now that I think about it, I don't believe I've explained fully the idea of AXELGREASE, so I'll take the time to explain it now.

16 year old Trey DeChant, son of infamous scientist, Dr. Eric DeChant of a weapons & robotics corp. called SCRAP, is a rich, smart Canadian kid viewed nothing more than a wallflower to his family, his peers, even his band, The Hunks of Metal (Whom he plays bass for), despite his wealth & fortune. With his talents & his very existence ignored, & his mother as the only closest thing to him, suicide appeared to be a solution to him. Until one faithful night…

A meteor shower is scheduled to pass through Toronto, Ontario, where SCRAP unveils an observatory for future generations of astrologists, and at the same time, celebrate Canada day. While Trey wanders idly away from the party to think for himself, a meteor crash lands into a woods outside Trey’s home. As he enters the woods in his backyard & investigates the meteor, the meteor turns out to be nothing more than an unknown alien device that transforms him into a mechanical combat android, codenamed, AXELGREASE. Bonded to his DNA for good, the weapon enhances his mind, his skills and his dexterity to near superhuman levels. With the armour activated, he is near invincible, because of the type of metal used (the material is not found on earth.)Now he is in possession of an omnipotent weapon. However, he discovers that there are some people who want their hands on AXELGREASE…

Now that Trey has become a target of a race of alien syndicates called the Xios, who wage war with another race of people called the Dhurians, he’s got to defend his loved ones & discover the origins of this powerful weapon. But in order to do that, is Trey willing to risk his young life in a fight to defend Earth from a terrible fate?

That's about all I can explain for now. I'd like to hear any criticism or feedback from anyone.

Art: BomberMan

Hey.

So I had some spare time to draw this thing. Really proud of it. I was a big BomberMan fan when I was ten, so I went on drawing this. Took me like twenty minutes or so, but it looks pretty bad ass, if you ask me.

Art: AxelGrease

Hey.

I made this again with Adobe Illustrator CS4. I'm really getting the hang of this software. So anyways, this guy looks a lot like Mega man, doesn't he? I'll release more images of Project Axel when I get the chance.

Art: The TimeVision.

Hey.

During May, we were asked to make a commercial of a fictional product. Our idea (by which I mean, me & two other buddies of mine,) was a Virtual Reality game console called the i-play TimeVision. Above is a basic visual of our fake product. I'm getting the hang of Adobe Illustrator. Quite fun to use during my spare time.

On a side note, I personally think that this year's concert was for nothing. Our band practiced hard for a few solid months, & it was all blown off for just one song. God, that pissed me off. Anyways, peace out.

Art: Veteran Studios Logo

Hey.

I made this logo during a Media Arts class a few weeks ago. Doesn't look professional, but hey, you gotta start somewhere. I may use this as a logo for future animations as well. ;)

News: Duke Nukem's Comback?

How long has this been delayed?

I know its been a while since Duke Nukem games have been done, but I still love the series for the same, dark humor that the series possesses. C'mon 3D Realms (or whoever's working on this) Don't keep us waiting. ;)
